Why You Should Use A Realtor
Consider this, if you needed work done on your teeth, would you go to a dentist or do it yourself? Do you repair your own car, or do you call a mechanic? Well, the same theory applies to real estate. The art of selling a home is something that takes years to perfect. There are so many aspects of home sales that the average buyers and sellers are unaware of, especially the mandatory disclosures and mountains of paperwork involved in the transaction. Also there are many aspects of the process that are easily available to a Realtor. The actual process of selling a home is very time consuming, and usually the seller has many more important things to consider, such as the impending move.
Realtors spend years learning the art of selling and how to interpret the real estate market. They can offer you insight and information that only comes from years of experience. Realtors are also experts on their area; they know the communities and what amenities they have to offer, the location of schools, transport routes, and how the current market will affect the sale of your home.
Using a Realtor to sell your home has several advantages over a FSBO (for sale by owner). Perhaps the most important of these advantages is exposure. The marketing of your home is of the highest importance. Without a robust marketing plan, your home will not be seen by many of the prospective buyers available and as such, will take much longer to sell. Realtors utilize the latest in internet technology to ensure that your home is seen by as many buyers as possible. Also, Realtors have a large budget to purchase newspaper ads, hold open houses, and create flyers and information packs about your property. Realtors can also utilize a CMA to evaluate the correct value of your home and to price it correctly in your local market. This will enable your home to be competitive and attractive to buyers. Remember, homes sold by a Realtor sell for thousands more than homes sold by the owner. Use a professional to sell your home, and free up the time you need to organize yourself for the process of moving your own new home.

I want to make sure that I get a good home. It makes sense that I would want to have a realtor to help me! I like your analogy of using a dentist for dental work. Why wouldn’t I use a realtor for real estate? Thanks for sharing!

I agree that it is a good idea to use a realtor when looking to buy a new house. I did not know that there was so much paperwork that real estate agents had to do to make sure that the sale takes place and if finalized. If someone were to buy a home on their own the process would take much longer because they would not have a realtor to intermediate.

My husband and I want to buy a luxury home to raise our family in. It’s good to know that realtors are experts in their area and know the communities really well. Another benefit of using a realtor is that they will handle all the paperwork, so that you don’t have to worry about it.

I like how you said that real estate agents spend years learning the tricks of buying and selling a home. My husband and I are actually the owners of two homes right now because we haven’t really tried to sell the old one that we lived in. It’s around 2 hours away from where we live now, so it would be a bit of a hassle to drive back and try to give tours and things like that. Hiring a real estate agent with experience in selling would probably be a better bet for us so we won’t have to worry about it as much.

I think a real estate agent does a lot of work. You can sell a home fast with the help of a real estate agent.

Thanks for this info. My uncle is planning to sell his house. He’s now looking up some realtor to assist him.

I like that you mentioned how much better realtors are at marketing the home, and at a higher price. My wife and I are selling our first home, and it would be great to have a realtor guide us through the process. Having a realistic value on the home is what we need most, and I know that an experienced and reliable real estate agent could provide that for us.

I’m glad that you mention how the process of selling a home is very time consuming and how hiring a Realtor allows you to be able to focus on other things. This would be important to ensure you have everything prepared so that you can move into your new home. When choosing a Realtor, you’d probably want to research the different options and then meet with the best ones so that you can discuss the services you need from them, such as how soon you want your home to be sold, so that they understand what you need and can help you get everything done.

I like how you said that real estate agents know how to read the market. Buying or selling would be made a lot easier if you had a professional there who understood what they are doing. If they can understand what everyone else is doing as well then it would definitely be another help.

It sure got me when you said that one of the benefits of hiring a real estate agent was the idea that they have valuable information regarding the neighborhoods that I am considering as they know where the important amenities are located. I am more focused on finding a house that’s close to a school because I can see my younger siblings struggling right now. If you’re confident that a realtor will be able to help me with this matter, then I will be sure to hire one before I go househunting. Thank you for sharing!

My wife has been wanting us to help her parents find a real estate agent. They want to sell their current home and get something smaller and easier to take care of. I’m going to have to look for a few good options for real estate agents with them and hopefully get them the help they need!
